Boy, does that phrase bring back memories. I used to love to sit out in the corn fields and hear them "snap" as they grew. Really, they did, usually at night. I have really good "ears".....
So cute! :) I wish we could have a garden again...we did at our last house but this year our yard isn't as big...and besides we have a big young dog that would try to eat it! Blessings! Tammy
Here in Upstate NY one of the big crops is corn-I drive by fields all the time, and let me tell you, we'll be lucky if they are knee high. I envy you your earlier and warmer spring. But come late July or August you'll be envying my temps up here!
We haven't been out to our garden plot for over a week. I'm worried that the weeds will look that tall with all the rain.
ReplyDeleteThe weeds have a way of doing that!
ReplyDeletewhat cuties..

ReplyDeleteOh yum. One time in my life I had corn picked from the field (in Illinois). It was absolutely delicious and I haven't had any as good since.
