very cool - what is the roof made of?
ReplyDeleteI am guessing that the originals would have been skins, but I think this was more of a canvas type material.
ReplyDeleteVery nice :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
I always thought it would be cool to build one of these in the backyard!

That would be so cool to stay in. As long as there aren't spiders, I mean. LOL!
ReplyDeletepretty cool - wouldnt fancy it in winter though
ReplyDeleteI bet that was so much fun!! very nice.
ReplyDeleteIt's so amazing and humbling seeing how people lived. Before your know modern luxury items like toilets and say central heating!!
ReplyDeleteThat's the best pic I've ever seen of one. Cool!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty neat! Didn't they use bark sheets for the roof? Maybe I'm thinking of something else...
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
Blue thistle

Panda Bean
that may well be. This was the last stop of our field trip and I wasn't able to ask about the building or hear much of what was being discussed. By then I was chasing (literally) the three little ones who were getting restless.
Nice, and it has little to no holes. Very cool

That's really a fun hut--sure makes you appreciate a home with indoor plumbing though!
